The Liberty Memorial and National World War I Museum DWA_3042
Dedicated November 11, 1926, the Liberty Tower monument is one of Kansas City's most easily spotted features as it rises 265 feet above the surrounding area and overlooks downtown to the north. At night the tower emits a flame effect using steam that is illuminated by red and orange lights. The National WWI Museum is accessed through the large ornamental bronze doors.
